SAN DIEGO, California, USA, September 6, 2022 / — IG World magazine organizes its second edition InfoGov Global Conference and Expo September 29-30, 2022 and announced its keynote speakers for the conference. Information Governance (IG) is an emerging cross-functional area that uses a holistic approach and integrates privacy, cybersecurity and risk, data governance, records management, and eDiscovery as core elements.

Odia Kagan, CDPO, CIPP/E/US, CIPM, FIP, GDPRP, PLS, is a Philadelphia-based privacy and data protection expert. She is a Partner and Chair of GDPR Compliance and International Privacy at international law firm Fox Rothschild LLP. Ms. Kagan regularly advises clients on matters of compliance with laws and regulations in the areas of privacy and data protection as well as the privacy aspects of acquisition transactions, joint ventures and third-party vendor engagements.

Natausha Cruz Wilson, Esq., IGP, CRM, CIPP/US is director of information governance (IG) at chipmaker Qualcomm in the Bay Area. As a IG Advisor, Practitioner and Subject Matter Expert (SME), she specializes in the assessment, development and maintenance of comprehensive IG/Privacy programs. In her current role at Qualcomm, Natausha is responsible for building the IG framework, leading a cross-functional steering committee and deploying a change management strategy for the adoption of new data processing requirements.

Douglas Laney is a Data Strategy and Analytics Innovation Lead at the West Monroe consulting firm in Chicago. Previously, he was Vice President and Distinguished Analyst in Gartner’s Chief Data Officer (CDO) Research and Advisory Practice. He is an accomplished practitioner and recognized authority on data strategy and analytics. He is a three-time recipient of Gartner’s annual Thought Leadership Award and is consistently considered one of the world’s top influencers on these topics. Mr. Laney specializes and assists organizations in data monetization and valuation, open and syndicated data, data governance and big data-based innovation. In 2001, he coined the “3Vs” of volume, velocity, and variety, now commonly used to define Big Data. He is the author of the groundbreaking and recently published book “Infonomics”, “Data Juice: 101 Stories of How Organizations are Squeezing Value from Available Data Assets”.

The 4-day InfoGov World Conference & Expo event begins with two days of training courses on September 27 and 28, then extends into two days of conference sessions, ending with a career fair on Friday afternoon.

Information governance Certified Information Governance Officers Association training (CIGOA) as well as a training on data governance by Nicola Askham, “The Data Governance Coach”, will be held online on September 27 and 28. Records management training leading to ICRM’s Certified Records Management certification is also available.

The fully virtual conference – with over 80 sessions – will take place September 29 and 30, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, in an immersive 3D environment that gives attendees a sense of togetherness wherever they are physically located. The 10-hour conference and exhibition days allow attendance from Europe and the UK, starting at 12:00 noon London time (DST), as well as from the US and Canada.
