Virtual Community Health Fair organized by the Self-Sufficiency Project

Newton, NJ (May 6, 2021) – A free Community Health Fair will be hosted virtually by Project Self-Sufficiency on Thursday, May 13eat 4:00 p.m.

The event will include a keynote presentation by Sussex County Public Health Epidemiologist Dr Lama Chaddad, as well as a discussion of summer safety tips by the Nurse Family Partnership nursing team of the Autosufficiency project and a presentation on the prevention of sexual assault against children and ages. & Stages of Child Development Questionnaire.

Representatives from local health organizations will review current resources for the health and well-being of children and families. The free virtual health fair will be offered via Zoom and is open to the public; interested participants are encouraged to call Project Self-Sufficiency, 973-940-3500, for login details.

Local community health organizations that will be featured include Atlantic Health System/Goryeb Children’s Hospital & Newton Medical Center; Prevention and Counseling Center; DASI; Intensive family support services, leadership change campaign; NAMI; NJ CEED; Partnership for Maternal and Child Health; Project self-sufficiency; Newton’s Rite Shop; Special health services for children; and others.
