The Sundance Film Festival joins TED as a programming partner to present films related to the themes of the event
NEW YORK, October 13, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — efile– a non-profit organization dedicated to discovering and spreading ideas that spark the imagination, embrace possibility and catalyze impact – will host the first TEDWomen presents, a week-long digital experience featuring a mix of live and on-demand programming. Conceived by the curators of TED and TEDWomen, TEDWomen Presents will present the ideas of women leaders on change, work, rights, the future and joy. This year’s TEDWomen Presents will take place virtually from October 24-28 with new speakers and interactive activations every day.
TEDWomen Presents will engage women around the world in meaningful conversations and foster connections. Specifically, the dialogue will focus on overcoming obstacles and achieving goals on one’s own terms. Attendees can expect curated talks, exclusive films, inspiring and motivational playlists of music and content, and interactive workshops between guests and speakers.

For the first time, the virtual format offers the opportunity to expand the offerings of the TEDWomen program with daily film screenings. TEDWomen has partnered with Sundance InstituteThe Sundance Film Festival programming team, led by Programming Director Kim Yutani, to curate a selection of films that informed, inspired and delighted film festival-goers last year. The selection of films will be available on demand throughout the week as they delve deeper into the themes of the digital conference.

Speakers in this year’s lineup include Tamana Ayazi, Afghan filmmaker and activist; Jane Fonda, actress & activist; Heidi Hammel, NASA Interdisciplinary Scientist on the James Webb Telescope Project; Angelique Kidjo, Grammy Award-winning Beninese singer-songwriter, actress and activist; and Vanessa Nakate, Ugandan climate activist.
