Taiwan Launches Virtual Event Showcasing Taiwan’s Family Travel Deals With Special Guest Appearances

SAN FRANCISCO, August 9, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — The Taiwan Tourism Board Hosted a Virtual Event in Collaboration with Special Guests to Talk To Taiwan from family offers to media and content creators. The event on August 4 aimed at introducing Taiwan variety of family activities for participants, covering train travel, its culinary culture and its outdoor adventures.

The Taiwan Tourism Board has partnered with three special guests: Joey Chousuccessful Taiwanese-American illustrator who has worked for renowned companies such as Disney, Netflix and Warner Bros, Jamie TungTaiwanese-Canadian pastry chef and founder of Buttermere Pâtisserie, and Dorothee Chiangthe representative of the “Future” train, the award-winning Taiwan tourist train featured on CNN Travel.

Attendees followed a three-part program with demonstrations from each guest that gave attendees the opportunity to learn more about Taiwan family activities. From bustling cities to relaxing beaches and scenic adventures, Taiwan is an ideal destination for family trips. The event called for a variety of family attractions and travel experiences such as the Taipei Zoo, Lake Sun Moonnight markets and train journeys, and much more!

There were about 45 participants who joined to deepen their knowledge on Taiwan family offers. Prior to the event, attendees received gift boxes with gifts such as a Taiwanese toy train, Taiwan family travel coloring book and more. During the event, attendees followed along as special guests called out various items in the box and talked more about each offering.

To celebrate, a raffle is held on the official Instagram page of the Taiwan Tourism Board @taiwantourism_na of August 4 to August 19. To enter the competition, download the Taiwan drawing coloring and color, paint or decorate the illustration to make it your own art. Then post a photo of your art on Instagram Story with the hashtag #ColoringMyTaiwan.

The director of the San Francisco office of the Taiwan Tourism Bureau, Linda Linsaid, “Through these interactive events, we have the opportunity to maintain communication with niche groups of journalists and content creators and provide them with relevant travel inspiration for their audience. Taiwan complies with all health and hygiene regulations, ensuring the safety of travelers. We look forward to warming up the US market with the variety of activities in preparation for the reopening of borders.”

Taiwan actively monitored the global situation and gradually eased restrictions.
