Thousands of people gather every year to get their fill of the latest edtech knowledge in dozens of sessions led by fellow educators and inspiring thinkers

What began nearly a decade ago as an intimate meeting of a handful of early adopter customers has become one of the most anticipated conferences on education technology and digital learning. Today, the conference attracts thousands of attendees who all share helpful solutions and information about edtech. This year’s virtual event will take place on Thursday July 14 for customers in North America. Over 15,000 attendees attended last year’s event, with inspiring presentations from, Angela DuckworthDr. Knatokie Ford, and Lauren Bush Lauren. Keynote speakers in previous years have included inspiring innovators and thought leaders like LeVar Burton, Malcolm Gladwell, Bettina Love and Dan Heath. This year’s event will once again be held online to protect the safety of the thousands of educators and school professionals in attendance, but our speakers are just as fantastic and will focus heavily on the things educators care about most: resilience. and engaged learners.

Simone Giertz is a STEM icon, Swedish inventorbrain tumor survivor, robotics passionate, TV presenter, professional YouTuber, and passionate educator. His TED Talk, “Why You Should Create Useless Things,” encouraged children and adults around the world to ask questions through creation and to be curious. Ms. Giertz will share her unique perspective on the importance of STEM education and how educators and students can ask and answer questions throughout the creative process.

Adam Grant is one of the most profound public speakers of our time. A celebrated author and educator, Mr. Grant deeply understands the emotional journey of educators and speaks forcefully of the triumphs and tragedies along that path. As an organizational psychologist, best-selling author, and professor at Wharton, he explores the science of motivation, generosity, original thinking, and redesign. Grant is recognized as one of the 10 most influential management thinkers in the world and one of Fortune’s 40 under 40.

To make the experience even more engaging and facilitate interactions, Instructure will offer a centralized conferencing platform that offers new opportunities for engagement and attendees can do everything from watch speeches to chat with colleagues.

Participants will also hear from Instructure executives and education experts, including CEO Steve Daly who will talk about how to meet new challenges through collaboration and community, and how to embrace the path of change. Strategy Director Mitch Benson will discuss scaling the heights of new technologies, including Instructure’s ongoing commitment to openness and the future of education. Head of Customer Experience Melissa Loble will discuss the myriad challenges of being an educator in today’s post-pandemic climate and highlight how teachers have blazed new trails with innovative approaches to real-life learning.

More than thirty Instructure partners will host virtual booths for attendees to stop by and learn more about their tools and services. Attendees can video chat with partner representatives and engage with them throughout the day.
