The American Association of University Women, Brainerd Branch will again sponsor 1-2 female undergraduate or graduate students who grew up in the Brainerd Lakes area and/or attend school at Central Lakes College or the Brainerd Branch of St. Scholastica for the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders May 24-26.
The American Association of University Women, Brainerd Branch, invites hundreds of university women from across the country for three days of virtual leadership training, inspiration, and networking at the National Conference for Student University Leaders.
The conference includes a half-day Design Thinking Session on May 25 and two full days on May 25 and 26. The bundle weekend cost is $165 until March 11, when the total cost drops to $225. Accepted applicants will have the $165 cost fully reimbursed.

Brittney Cooper, keynote speaker, is an author and Associate Professor of Women’s and Gender Studies and African Studies at Rutgers. She got her doctorate. in American Studies from Emory University’s Graduate Institute of Liberal Arts in 2009. Her work focuses broadly on the intellectual history of black women, black feminist thought, and racial and gender politics in hip hop and popular culture. .
