Experts to Speak on Officer Mental Wellbeing at Free Virtual Event ILET – Patrol


One of the free virtual sessions at the ILET Summit 2022 is dedicated to first responder mental health and wellbeing and will include several experts from nationally recognized nonprofit organizations.

The International Law Enforcement Training Summit (ILET) will welcome participants from around the world to the 3rd Annual ILET Summit 2022, taking place from December 5-9. The five-day, all-virtual summit will provide over 40 hours of training resources spread across 30+ training sessions for law enforcement, security, legal and public safety professionals worldwide .

The focus is on prioritizing officer welfare and safety.

Created through the collaboration of hundreds of the world’s leading public safety experts, the ILET Summit leads with an evidence-based approach, promoting intertwined and connected learning and cooperative strategies.

“Not only did we want to provide actionable and relevant training for agents, but we also wanted to find a way to give back, so we continued our commitment to donating 100% of the proceeds from our ‘I Got Your Six’ campaign to organizations. who support law enforcement and the first responder community. This year, we are partnering with Blue HELP to raise awareness and end the stigma surrounding officer mental health,” said Adam Kinakin, ILET Summit Director and founder of the ILET network “It’s something we are very proud of.”

Live panel discussions will be held each day of the event.

Mental well-being

One of these sessions is dedicated to mental health and wellbeing and includes several experts from nationally recognized nonprofit organizations. One of these panelists, Steven Hough, is the co-founder of Blue HELP

“Blue HELP offers families, friends, colleagues and agencies the opportunity to find suicide help within the first responder community,” says Hough.

“When they come to Blue HELP they know we will honor lost people by how they lived and not how they died and provide the information and tools to help cope with loss as well. tragic,” he added.

The list of speakers for the ILET Summit 2022 includes experts from the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Australia, the United Kingdom and a number of notable training organizations in the field of law application.

More than 100 countries will be represented during the multi-day event with sessions delivered in a number of formats such as live panel discussions, pre-recorded lecture series and keynote presentations.
