ECHO Project in the Caribbean: Building a Virtual Community for Educational Needs in Palliative Care

Despite a growing need, palliative care education tools tailored to providers in the Caribbean remain extremely limited. We conducted a mixed-methods analysis of Project ECHO’s (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) first model adapted to palliative care providers in the Caribbean. These virtual case-based sessions were organized to improve knowledge of regional palliative care providers on symptom management, communication and psychosocial support.
