Hosted by Nova Scotian filmmaker Juanita Peters, the evening featured live interviews, clips from the show and the opportunity to ask questions of the panelists.
Real porters Jack States and Winston Grosse, live from the Black Cultural Centre, shared stories of their time working the rails from Halifax to Montreal.

The wearer is a CBC original series inspired by real events and set in the early 1920s.
The fictional drama follows train porters Junior and Zeke, nurse Marlene and performer Lucy as a tragedy in the community puts them all on starkly different paths to a better life – and on a direct collision course between them. with each other.
