CONWY-BASED Virtual Assistant Experience had been shortlisted for the National StartUp Awards Series.
The national StartUp Awards series has been launched to recognize the burgeoning start-up scene across the UK, which has accelerated since the start of the pandemic.
In 2020, as most of the world shut down, more than 400,000 start-ups were created in Britain, with similar increases seen in other European countries.
Competition was fierce with over 2,500 entries received in response to the first-ever call for entries for the StartUp Awards National Series.
Hannah Roose, Founder and Director of The Virtual Assistant Experience, said, “I am honored that The Virtual Assistant Experience has been shortlisted, as a finalist, in the following two categories, Creative Start Up and Rising Star Award.
“Our startup journey has been emotional, exciting and educational to say the least.
“So to receive this recognition for all of our hard work and effort is an absolute dream.
“We’ve been fortunate to work with some amazing clients and freelancers over the past year and have great visions and aspirations for the future.”
The virtual assistant experience was launched by Ms. Roose in 2020 and aims to take away the day-to-day work stress business owners experience by taking care of their administrative, secretarial and HR needs.
Professor Dylan Jones-Evans OBE, the creator of the national StartUp Awards series, said: “New businesses are important for generating economic prosperity, job opportunities and innovation. Since 2016, the Wales StartUp Awards have celebrated this incredible annual contribution of entrepreneurs to our economy and the impact they have on communities across the country.
“Given the sheer volume of phenomenal startups we’ve heard about since then, as well as the huge post-pandemic shift in people’s desire to give their careers a new direction and build a business against the odds, we thought it was the right time to roll out the program nationwide.
“We have been blown away by the level of entries this first year and are really looking forward to crowning the winners in June.”
Co-founded by the team behind the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, the new series follows the success of the Wales StartUp Awards, after organizers recognized the exceptional potential of the start-up scene in other parts of the UK.
